Top Ten Tuesday | Most Anticipated Book Releases for the First Half of 2020

Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I’m linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl for another Top Ten Tuesday, this time featuring my most anticipated new releases coming out January — June of this year.

When I’m not reading, I love searching Goodreads for new books by my favorite authors, so I can make sure I don’t miss any new releases! In fact, I already have 67 books on my 2020 New Releases shelf, so I don’t think I’ll run out of new reading material any time soon 😉 Here are the ten new releases I’m most excited about, in order of when they will be published:

1. The Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren (January 7, 2020)

Susan May Warren is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I’m so excited for her new Global Search and Rescue series! I’ve actually already read this one – look for my full review this Friday! (The second book in the series, The Heart of a Hero, is also coming out in the first half of this year – on June 2, 2020)

2. If for Any Reason by Courtney Walsh (February 3, 2020)

Courtney Walsh is one of my go-to authors for contemporary romance. This book is set in Nantucket and looks like the perfect summery story to brighten up a long winter!

3. The Land Beneath Us by Sarah Sundin (February 4, 2020)

Sarah Sundin is my favorite author for WWII historical romance! Her books are so rich with historical details and characters that welcome you into their world. This book is the conclusion to her Sunrise at Normandy series – I’ve been waiting since last February, and I can’t wait to read it!

4. The Fifth Avenue Story Society by Rachel Hauck (February 4, 2020)

I have loved Rachel Hauck’s books for a long time, and I always pre-order her new releases! She writes such rich characters and touching, satisfying stories. This new book looks like it will be another great one!

5. The Solid Grounds Coffee Company by Carla Laureano (February 4, 2020)

I have loved Carla Laureano’s Saturday Night Supper Club series over the last couple of years, and I can’t wait for this third book!

6. Stop Calling Me Beautiful: Finding Soul-Deep Strength in a Skin-Deep World by Phylicia Masonheimer (February 18, 2020)

I’ve been following Phylicia Masonheimer’s work for years (on her blog and Instagram) – she’s a great Bible teacher, encouraging women to go deeper in Scripture. I got a chance to read an early copy of her book via Netgalley, and it is powerful, practical, and encouraging. I think every Christian woman would benefit from reading it! I’ll be posting my full review soon. Follow Phylicia on Instagram here!

7. The Jerusalem Assassin by Joel C. Rosenberg (March 17, 2020)

I love Joel C. Rosenberg’s political thrillers! His Marcus Ryker series has been one of my favorites, and I can’t wait for this third book!

8. Silent Shadows by Natalie Walters (March 31, 2020)

When I read Natalie Walters’ debut novel, Living Lies, last year, she quickly rose to the top of my favorite authors list! Her second book, Deadly Deceit, was just as good, and I can’t wait to see where she goes with this last book in the series.

9. You’re Not Enough (and That’s OK): Escaping the Toxic Culture of Self-Love by Allie Beth Stuckey (May 5, 2020)

I started listening to Allie Stuckey’s podcast, Relatable, early in 2019, and I’m so excited she has a book coming out! She has a great perspective on political and cultural issues, and she has inspired me to go deeper in studying the Bible and learning theology. You can follow Allie on Instagram here and on YouTube here!

10. Stay with Me by Becky Wade (May 5, 2020)

Becky Wade is another one of my favorite contemporary romance authors! I loved her last series, The Bradford Sisters, and this book sounds like a great start to her new series.

Bonus! 11. Being Known by Robin Jones Gunn (April 28, 2020)

There are so many great books coming out in the first half of 2020, I couldn’t quite narrow it down to 10! I can’t leave Robin Jones Gunn off my list – her Christy Miller series was so influential to me as a teenager. I love that she’s still writing about Christy and her friends, now as adults! You’ll enjoy the Haven Makers series whether you’ve read the Christy Miller series or not 🙂
