My Review

The next thrilling installment in the True Lies of Rembrandt Stone series is here! Blood from a Stone takes an intense turn as Rem must decide the lengths he will go to to stop the Jackson Killer. He is determined to restore his life with his wife and daughter, do right by Eve in the past, and solve his cold cases. That’s a lot of pressure for one man, and it’s catching up with him. One of my favorite moments in this book is Rem’s conversation with his father. His wisdom and advice is one of the highlights of the story, and provides a moment of reprieve before the shocking cliffhanger at the end of the book.

The nail-biting ending sets up the late John Booker, Rem’s former mentor and police chief who gave him the watch, to play a critical role in the next and final book. The series will culminate with Heart of Stone on November 23, so you have plenty of time to catch up on the series before the finale. I am waiting with bated breath to see how these incredible authors will wrap up the series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher as part of the launch team. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
