Dr. Ivy Collins, founder and CEO of Hedera, Inc., is ready to begin clinical trials of her company’s cutting-edge prosthetic. Her work has been praised by government, medical, and advocacy groups, and everyone hopes the device will be a success. Well, almost everyone. Someone is trying to sabotage Hedera and the launch, but to what purpose–and how far will they go to get what they want?
Meanwhile, US Secret Service Agent Gil Dixon can’t believe he’s finally been reunited with Ivy, his childhood best friend. But it will take all his skill to uncover the truth in time to save Ivy’s life, her life’s work, and the innocent lives caught in the crossfire.
My Review
Another fantastic book by Lynn H. Blackburn! This is a fast-paced story that drew me in from the first page. It’s everything I’ve come to expect and love from the author – lots of action, edge-of-your-seat suspense, ensemble characters with great chemistry and camaraderie, and a sweet romance. Gil and Ivy get a second chance after fifteen years apart when she and her company are under attack. Their friendship lets the romance develop at a realistic pace, even in the middle of all the action. If you enjoy high-octane suspense with a fresh, unique plot and compelling characters, look no further – get yourself a copy of Malicious Intent!

Getting ready to read Malicious Intent next.
My First line is from Enchanting the Heiress by Kristi Hunter:
December 1817. Newmarket, England
How could Jonas Fitzroy possibly follow his twin sister’s directive to stop watching over and protecting her, when she actually believed in the crazy plans she’d just laid out to him?
Love that first line! Thanks for sharing 😊
I will be reading this one soon! Glad you enjoyed it! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/03/first-line-friday-41-edgewater-road.html
I’m currently halfway through To Disguise the Truth by Jen Turano. It’s great!
“Not that you’re going to want to hear this, but after listening to your diatribe against Arthur for the past hour, complete with complaints about his character, his handsome face, and the way he makes you long to punch him, I’m left wondering if the contentious relationship both of you share is something entirely different than a clash of two strong personalities.”
Have a wonderful weekend! 😀❤📚
That’s a great line! Happy reading 😊
